I can’t recommend aguastella kitchen faucets more. We built a new house and I wanted all metal faucets but didn’t want to pay +500+. These feel like quality, I had an issue with one of the sprayer heads and they sent out a new one. They clearly had improved the design, so they are continuing to support products

It’s hard enough to find the letters on the keyboard, give them a break on the width of their dropdown boxes.

I’ve worked in academia and industry since completing my PhD, mostly in medical affairs managing research collaborations, currently deeply embedded in trial data strategy at a company that serves virtually all of the largest biopharma companies.

It costs close to $100k/patient for an oncology clinical trial, 2-300 for phase 2, 1-2000 for phase 3, ongoing phase 4, market access studies. Easy to reach $500M on just the clinical R&D, doesn’t include preclinical, marketing, staff salaries, and any acquisition/licensing costs

True, but there wouldn’t be such an imbalance except that the US has the most free market(for better or worse) and they are incentivized to exploit it all the more because profits don’t come from other sources. Best solution is better payment globally and more price controls in the US

If USA did like Canada, it would take several times longer to bring a drug to market, and many smaller biopharma development programs would run out of money before drugs even got into phase 2. I see it all the time - it often takes a lucky encounter with a VC to rescue a drug, and they expect to get a return

Truth is that drug developers have to run expensive studies, pay for expensive manufacturing, and large regulatory, medical, and technical staff for years for many drugs. Problem is that if US isn’t price gouged, companies do not have a market large enough to be profitable.
