Truth is that drug developers have to run expensive studies, pay for expensive manufacturing, and large regulatory, medical, and technical staff for years for many drugs. Problem is that if US isn’t price gouged, companies do not have a market large enough to be profitable.

True, but there wouldn’t be such an imbalance except that the US has the most free market(for better or worse) and they are incentivized to exploit it all the more because profits don’t come from other sources. Best solution is better payment globally and more price controls in the US

Price control is looked at as regulation. So it wont happen anytime soon. We cant even make our own meds domestically! That is a national security risk in itself! I think pharma is doing fine in other countries just not well enough for shareholders
