except it's bullshit; believe it or not, but plenty of drug development takes place in europe without going through the very expensive FDA process first your high drug prices are primarily caused by your broken healthcare system with tons of bloated admin/middlemen, not america sacrificing itself for the greater good.

One thing I don’t understand. Don’t we have trade agreements that protect pharma IP when these drugs hit the market? Isn’t it the drug companies that are shooting themselves in the foot here by selling to these countries at a steep discount?

Unless you work in pharma none of this makes sense. Literally listen to this and you will understand where @dwr.eth is coming from. If you don’t have time run it through AI with Snipd and you’ll get your answer in less than 10 minutes https://share.snipd.com/episode/7e55623e-f12f-450a-858e-bd568c09f9f8

Exactly. Without the slim ROI, innovation in pharma goes away. We’re at an insane inflection point where targeted therapies are drugging things considered “undruggable”. Cancer mortality is dropping despite an aging population. And pharma only has a short window after all that risk before a drug goes generic.

Decentralized science & publishing seems to be emerging. Crucial to the discovery of truth and data that many work tirelessly for. Too many restrictions and incentives all determined by big money. This is profoundly unethical and extremely harmful. May we win that war. https://warpcast.com/92-/0x56c43cf0

Americans will find any way to defend the worst aspects of their country. It's insane. Can't be anything wrong with the "greatest country on earth". 🙄

(even if it were true) this is implying that affluent nations shouldn't be subsidizing global health-care. "Love thy neighbour" is a metaphor; we're all neighbours on a small planet. What causes suffering in one nation, indirectly results in suffering in every other nation. Isn't FC a clear example of this?
