Advanced training day at Inclua Surf TPM! 🏄🏾‍♀️ Working with these talented young surfers on improving their technique, wave reading, and competition strategies. It's incredible to see how much they've progressed since their first waves! Today we focused on bottom turns, and heat strategy - essential skills for the competitions they're preparing for. The dedication these kids show is truly inspiring, pushing through challenges with determination and Nounish energy. This photo captures me at 13, winning my first national competition against all odds. In a surfing world that wasn't built for girls like me—especially Black girls from Northeast Brazil—I fought through stereotypes, objectification, to stand on that podium. Today, I'm proud to be among Brazil's elite surfers, but this journey isn't just about my achievements. It's about creating a new reality where girls who look like me can see themselves represented at the highest levels of surfing. Through Projeto TPM, I'm transforming the lives of underprivileged children, showing them that surfing isn't just for those who fit a certain mold. Every wave I ride as a Gnars athlete carries this message of inclusion and possibility. Your vote on my Gnars proposal isn't just supporting my competitive career—it's investing in a movement to reshape surfing culture in Brazil and beyond.
