Part 1 - Why does 1 Precious Noggles cost $100? $30 - Labor by Micro Recyclers around the world. Making recycled plastic Noggles requires dedication: - Sorting the plastic—choosing high-quality plastic is crucial for making recycled eyewear. - Cleaning the plastic—dirt can cause defects if not thoroughly cleaned. - Picking colors—some don’t bond well together, requiring testing. - Injecting plastic into the mold—incorrect pressure or temperature can cause failure. - Assembling lenses and temples—improper assembly can crack the Noggles. Every Precious Noggle is crafted with great attention to detail. Our production hubs: - Precious Plastic NYC (Bronx, USA) - Mad Plastic (Ericeira, Portugal) - Precious Plastic ES (Vitória, Brazil) Each location has its own operations and challenges. Right now, the production in Brazil needs better machinery to maintain Noggles production, so we’re dedicating Flows income to addressing these issues.

Making recycled plastic Noggles is not as easy as it looks. If the plastic isn’t properly cleaned, if it’s in poor condition, if the machine’s pressure isn’t high enough, if the temperature fluctuates, if the nozzle shape isn’t precise, or if the mold isn’t perfectly crafted, we end up with a lot of defects like this. Even a tiny crack can ruin an entire Noggle. Sometimes, it takes many failed attempts before we get a perfect one. As we progress, we constantly need to refine our machinery and tools to improve the process. With Flows we are gonna be able to make a new nozzle for the BR production inspired by the NYC production used during @nounstown.eth .

@momotsuki, we were reviewing your proposal on Flows and noticed that the file you're using for the yellow Noggles image is actually @marinioac’s CC0 3D print file, funded by Lil Sisters (@lilnouns) in Dec 2022, as shown in the other picture. Since the file is CC0 and available for the community to print, we’d love to understand your plan for Flows funding. Could you share more details?

Precious Noggles has always prioritized high-quality products and transparency. In early 2023, when we received 25 ETH from Nouns DCS, we committed to delivering 150 PNs. By the end of the year, with production running in NYC and Portugal, we had already delivered over 100. Since then, we’ve faced several challenges in setting up production in Brazil, but we finally have it up and running with @fcarva . We’re now heading to the post office to complete the distribution of all 150 PNs. Thank you for your patience and support!

[Please read] Precious Noggles was never directly funded by Nouns. It received one-time 25 eth funding from Nouns DCS in February 2022. Since then, Precious Noggles has relied on sales and @marinioac’s personal investments. As of now, Precious Noggles is in debt. If you carefully read the budget breakdown in Prop 685, you’ll see that the only allocation to PN is for purchasing 20 Noggles for the team. However, this amount may be reduced due to the higher-than-expected cost of mold design. The Flows budget is essential to keeping Precious Noggles running. **[Please Read]** Precious Noggles and Prop 685 have different financial structures. Precious Noggles' bills are not covered by Prop 685 because the entire Prop budget is allocated to building a mobile clinic and producing 1k recycled prescription glasses for kids. She also invested in new sales formats like consignment and sent PN for builders that unfortunately got confiscated by custom. As a result, PN closed the year in the red, owing @marinioac a few thousand dollars. Now, PN is receiving Flows to keep running.
