My Tesla is the only car I’ve ever had where I have to sit in the driveway reading forums and rebooting it, trying to resolve software bugs.

Current issue is that the backup camera just shows black, no matter what.

I would have flatly done this with my Volvo and Ford but they still update software by driving it to the dealer using a cat 5 cable

I would rather be resolving software bugs than scrambling to research engine anatomy/problems in efforts to make sure I don’t get hosed by the dealership when something goes wrong

Must be a new model coming out. They want you to upgrade.

Have you submitted a service request via the app? Usually pretty quick to fix stuff
