how do you judge the credibility of an individual study like this? it seems like you could find quite a few catastrophic predictions from the past that were taken as fact when they were published

i fear that many of these are irrevocably broken

strong belief in them in theory, but the whole pipeline is so politicized that i have doubts that many people have the context to fully assess studies like this anymore
