Yeah currently it’s basically just onchain gaming. Perhaps there’s a world where agents perform meaningful tasks but I’m gonna leave that to big brain mfers like @derek.

For why agents need wallets? A simple version: In order to do nearly anything cool or useful in modern society, regardless if you’re human or code, you need to be able to use money as you see fit.

we have credit cards. the anti-censorship point i think you're kinda making is not hugely resonant for most people and indeed does not matter in 99+% of consumer use cases. also doesn't make clear what cool non-speculative financial use cases agents are engaged in

When I lived in Dubai much of the tech world were obsessed with the concept of a Digital Twin. The UAE is uniquely positioned to create something like this because everyone's identity is already digitally captured the minute you enter the country. For residents, your ID card holds immense amounts of data and even an RFID chip that can be used to authenticate things via NFC (even on your phone!). It's not hard to imagine a world where you literally have a digital version of yourself performing tasks onchain or online that serve some purpose. idk what tho tbh, maybe like mechanical turk style tasks.

i believe we'll find new use cases too ofc, but in terms of explaining this to outsiders, this just sounds like setting auto-pay on your utilities bill, which we can do already lol
