Since I am trying to cut down on online shopping, I went to some of the fancy department stores here to find a warm wool knit. This is how it went. Why would I spend 200 euro on that?

yes wool is best, personally like merino and cashmere bc they regulate temperature and moisture very well if you need a bit outdoors underlayer merino check Smartwool, and Uniqlo has nice affordable cashmere and bc wool is very durable and easy to repair, I always find nice stuff in secondhand stores, but takes a bit more effort

even some of them second-hand stores are now flooded with Zara, Shein and H&M stuff💀 I totally agree; I love cashmere and merino. I also got a 100% wool sweater, and it's the warmest piece of clothing I own. :)) Uniqlo got good stuff, unfortunately there's none where I live, but maybe I can stop by when I visit one of the cities that have a branch. Used to buy a lot there when living in Japan.
