Coinbase is in a bit of a pickle with the Solana/Base stuff. Being too neutral might be discouraging to Base builders, eco investors and maybe even Base team. Showing favoritism will of course anger the Solana world especially with the recent transfer delay snafus. Kraken is benefiting in the the short term(good for them, they're overlooked and lindy and it's great to have options), but they'll have their own chain and all the drama that comes with it soon enough with Ink. It's interesting and maybe an unexpected consequence that Base could be detrimental to the actual Coinbase CEX itself. Not something I considered just a month or so ago. They're not helping themselves with the complete lack of customer service, which has been a problem since day one.
