I think about this a lot lately and tried to come up with a guide of shorts but always come up short. I believe it's a combo of - language barriers - culture mismatch - power dynamics (few big accounts getting lots of replies from small accounts, not enough small accounts building up one another) - not knowing how/when to add to conversations vs just liking - not knowing faux pas like asking googleable questions - moxie baiting and becoming suspicious of people - weak distribution channels for small accounts to grow organically

You saw they cleared it out that he isn’t a bot tho, right? And Mike, how do we talk?😭 People on here literally misinterpret replies easily as bots or ‘moxie baiters’ these days and its frustrating to have to think hard before reply Instead of just replying naturally as it comes. Ruins user experience imo

Sometimes even when people know that you're a real person, the algo thinks that your a bot and hides your replies. all changed when I got boosted by @tayyab.

I think there are, literally, a lot of bots here (and in web3 social in general). The combination of cheap AI endpoints and cheap profile creation its pretty low cost / high (airdr*p) reward. 🥴

Some users translate and use GBT or copy what others say, and some came from Twitter, where they only know how to respond to "GM" and "GN." Sometimes it's annoying when they sound botish "off-topic", but I do my best to differentiate between real humans who are struggling and bots A lot of those whom I personally onboarded passed through this.
