one thing that always strikes me after visiting my parents, i really don't like HDTV everything appears like it's been made using a camcorder and motion/movements look very CGI, or as the kids today would say, AI generated just me?

they might have the the true motion set to ON which gives a fake higher frame rate and makes it look like a soap opera. Good for sports, but terrible for movies! can be disabled and then it should look as it should be.

it's not an LG TV, and it's not a frame rate issue (at least i don't think it is?) it's just aggressively too much detail at such a large size (personally haven't owned a tv since 2007 and my largest monitor is 32") more my preference, i guess, as i'm not a big AV nerd and have never really been into things like resolution specs 😅
