First ENS-native social network! Congrats to @dwr.eth @v and @nick.eth for ENS itself. Thoughts: 1) Adding ENS registration & profile editing may be a good next step. 2) If Farcaster becomes default ENS — if one can *assume* everyone on the network has an ENS name — much functionality gets unlocked.

This isnt obvious yet, but a farcaster username (@balajis) is now also a valid ENS under balajis.fcast.id It’s resolved offchain using the ENS CCIP standard , which means that it’s centrally administered by us but free to get All users start with a free ENS and can upgrade to a decentralized one by paying for it

Just curious My fname is @melissa Of course Melissa.ETH is owned If melissa.ETH joins and selects to use their ens as their fname Would my fname change to @melssa.fcst.id? Or would their fname be @melissa.ETH and I keep @melissa?

2nd question My fname is @melissa I own an ens If I select to use my ens as my fname Do I keep control of @melissa.fcst.id and retain the ability to switch back to @melissa if I want? Or does the @melissa fname go up as available when I switch my fname to my ens?
