First ENS-native social network! Congrats to @dwr.eth @v and @nick.eth for ENS itself. Thoughts: 1) Adding ENS registration & profile editing may be a good next step. 2) If Farcaster becomes default ENS — if one can *assume* everyone on the network has an ENS name — much functionality gets unlocked.

This isnt obvious yet, but a farcaster username (@balajis) is now also a valid ENS under balajis.fcast.id It’s resolved offchain using the ENS CCIP standard , which means that it’s centrally administered by us but free to get All users start with a free ENS and can upgrade to a decentralized one by paying for it

Is it actually live? There's no _ens TXT record, DNSSEC signautre https://dnssec-debugger.verisignlabs.com/fcast.id, or ENS import for fcast.id.

Just curious My fname is @melissa Of course Melissa.ETH is owned If melissa.ETH joins and selects to use their ens as their fname Would my fname change to @melssa.fcst.id? Or would their fname be @melissa.ETH and I keep @melissa?

Interesting. So what if my username on farcaster ("arjantupan") is also how I'm known in ENS ("arjantupan.eth"). Just trying to understand. I think it's great what you guys are doing here.
