First ENS-native social network! Congrats to @dwr.eth @v and @nick.eth for ENS itself. Thoughts: 1) Adding ENS registration & profile editing may be a good next step. 2) If Farcaster becomes default ENS — if one can *assume* everyone on the network has an ENS name — much functionality gets unlocked.

An ENS name has the potential to combine email, encrypted messaging, payments, digital signatures, personal website, secure file hosting, onchain resume, and more besides — subsuming everything from PayPal to WhatsApp to Docusign to LinkedIn in a single package. This isnt obvious yet, but a farcaster username (@balajis) is now also a valid ENS under balajis.fcast.id It’s resolved offchain using the ENS CCIP standard , which means that it’s centrally administered by us but free to get All users start with a free ENS and can upgrade to a decentralized one by paying for it

fnames are CCIP compatible ENS names. So technically everyone on Farcaster gets a free starter ENS name.

@dwr.eth @greg wdyt about applying for a grant from ENS to build this into warpcast? i assume killing core team focus is the bottleneck here, so could run as a tightly scoped project delivered by an external team

Love this so much Step 1 is a great idea And record setting thru farcaster🤯 Makes me think about the showcase record again, indicating preference of ur profiles nft sequence with an ens record ENS is so coool
