Is an insatiable appetite for risk good for overseeing and cutting budgets of government services?

There's something important in that Texas Hold 'Em story, which is that he had enough to continue buying more chips and doubling down. That means he wasn't playing with his risk, he was playing with their risk. "All-in" didn't mean "all-in" for him. And sorry, when the story literally ends with him taking chips off the table after he doubled down innumerably, you can't then say he "avoided taking chips off the table". Not to say he doesn't have a risk appetite, just that this story is an awkward and incoherent way to convey the point.

It's the reason I'll always bet on Elon Musk, he's not afraid of risks and has struck major gold a few times as a result. He's a dogged risk taker, my kind of person
