the market naturally solves real world problems. just need to give it time and kick out the socialists https://reason.com/2024/09/26/rents-fall-and-listings-increase-after-javier-milei-ends-rent-control-in-argentina/

You're... celebrating that people can't pay rent? This is shock therapy at its best.

the situation is more nuanced. the policy change increased housing supply and stabilized prices. rents are falling due to increased competition among landlords, not because people can't pay. this has a complete opposite effect to what you're saying: more people can afford housing in Argentina now

Here's you literally endorsing the shock doctrine. People must suffer so they learn. If people's wages increased at a similar rate to the devaluing of the peso they could maybe afford rent. Since that isn't happening half of Argentina is now poor. https://warpcast.com/matthewmorek/0x144c4b7a

a short term pain for a long term gain. it’s a matter of perspective. I’d rather work harder and suffer for a few years so that my kid has better future my parents never regretted the hardships of transitioning from communism to capitalism because their lives and my life are now better
