the situation is more nuanced. the policy change increased housing supply and stabilized prices. rents are falling due to increased competition among landlords, not because people can't pay.

this has a complete opposite effect to what you're saying: more people can afford housing in Argentina now

You're... celebrating that people can't pay rent? This is shock therapy at its best.
