Genuinely curious: what is the “retribution” people are afraid of?

imo most just don’t want to post anything outside the accepted “builder” tone around here or they won’t be taken as seriously

What's something you think people want to be taken seriously that's not?

I think there are certain biases given the audience here, and that’s okay. but the flip side is that sometimes people feel unwelcome or like they can’t say certain things. for example, if you’re building a zk identity product, you’re a serious dev and you’re building the future. but if you’re building a token launcher or memecoin app, you’re an unserious speculator, grifter, or worse. even though the latter might have more users and generate more revenue while the former has little to no usage and is praying for VC backing, leading one to wonder which is truly speculative… in any case, don’t think any of this is a “problem” or something to be fixed, just observations from my pov as an outsider.
