pretty interesting to see normies looking for alternatives to meta’s social apps and maybe even starting to grasp the value of decentralization…

yet somehow still hating crypto enough to sidestep FC/lens entirely in favour of apps like bluesky. I wonder if there’s any way to welcome these types of users or whether their left/right bias is too strong to remain open-minded.

Unrelated but the “neither use your content to train ai” is funny considering they are both open protocols where ANYONE can use your content to train ai

same blind spot as users looking for a social app that doesn’t “use AI” which is kinda funny because:

1) the devs building the app itself are using AI in their workflow guaranteed 

2) your posts are going to find their way into training data whether you like it or not

haha the bluesky one is pretty funny, the irony is strong

it is a million times easier for someone to scrape your stuff on bluesky than twitter lol. and substantially easier than "mastadon" because Bluesky has a giant relay that records all messages (mastodon has no central indexers nor is one possible)
