anyone remember snackpass?

it was a game where you'd earn emojis for eating at spots on campus. get ten 🍦 emojis, get a free ice cream.

you'd send emojis to your friends with a little note, and have a feed of where friends are earning and sending emojis to

feels like an onchain / fc version of this would crush.

imagining a future business model for midjourney where each image you make requires one onchain credits, the 📷 emoji. If I have 100 credits, I could reply to casts of ai art with the camera emoji to send them a midjourney credit

degen afaik was the first project to do it (decentralized or not) which is super cool. but I don't think it needs to be decentralized to work. it's just a good product / growth mechanism.

I think this is the endgame of where the experiments in tipping culture are going.

We're just trying to figure out best practices for how to manage supply, issuance, and exploit-proofing.

Instead of just centrally managed, like your example.
