This has been said before but it’s remarkable how much the content on FC is about FC or its community memes. I don’t think that’s a negative thing, but it’s not something we should ignore either.

I think you mostly interact with those who create FC-centered content There is still many users who share personal thing, life observations etc

if enough here have real conviction then... /higher /louder /gloomtoken are culture/community/scene cooins that one day might become the precursors of network states - in a way that I just cannot foresee for Doge & Wif.

My first 3d printer mostly printed updates to itself, too. It’s a stage of life thing imo.

also was clubhouse’s problem, it’s a sign of a community not quite becoming a content flywheel yet

This is true of all social media, though. It’s also true of all art forms. In fact, all communication is self-referential.

I have been thinking the same thing a lot lately and I'm most definitely guilty of it myself as well. A lot of my highest performing casts ever have been about Farcaster. /memes is an awesome example of how Farcaster can do non-crypto/non FC related content well though. I find the memes on FC better than on Reddit, or anywhere else tbh.

are you insinuating that there should be more outside culture incorporated into the FC ethos?

Different experience here. There's a lot of FC orientated stuff, but at least 50 % of my feed has nothing to do with FC specific stuff, or crypto, or dev stuff in general. Still see a lot of memes but memes are like punctuation for the rest.

I've always wondered was this a thing for all new social media platforms. Like when twitter first launched was all the original content about twitter itself. Was too young to know for myself
