Cursor's agent is so good, I think I doubted it at first but I either wasn't using it correctly or it's just gotten better. *especially* when working with a new codebase where you don't fully understand how things work.

I’ve found it to be anxiety inducing in new codebases, especially when you want a minimal diff. It keeps changing more than it needs to

It's great when you give it a very narrow task IMO and make it clear that you don't want to change anything else. It makes a lot of mistakes so the agent feature lets it keep trying and trying until it gets it right. Beyond that I find that it makes things worse in many scenarios especially if you don't write a few shot prompt.
