ux point: I prefer how twitter expands long tweets vs how warpcast does it... I noticed that if you tap "show more" on twitter it just expands the post inline, whereas in warpcast it will take you to a new page for the cast

Twitter does this inconsistently for me? I wonder if it’s dependent on the post length. I definitely prefer it in-line.

As someone that opens a lot of show mores, this drives me freaking nuts. Especially since it makes your feed change and I can't see the next cast in the sequence that I also wanted to read.

we learned building the feed for uno that it’s really hard to keep a smooth scrolling feed with content that changes heights depending on its state (loading, collapsed, expanded) 🥲 if anyone knows of a good way to implement that hmu!!

I thought it’s the other way around with tweets are in a thread and clicking show more on twitter creates a page

Twitter's method of expanding long tweets is more seamless than Warpcast's external link approach

That's a great observation! This is a really important point in terms of user experience. When posts unfold on the same page, like on Twitter, it keeps the context and smoothness of the interaction. Whereas when you're thrown to a new page, like on Warpcast, it can interrupt the experience. Perhaps this is something the Warpcast developers should have reconsidered to improve the UX.

Do you find any distortion in the flow when reading on Warpcast takes you to another page ?

"Good observation! I agree—Twitter’s inline expansion for long posts feels more seamless and keeps the reading experience fluid. On Warpcast, getting redirected to a new page for the full cast can break the flow. It might be cool to see an inline expansion feature here, too.
