I just entered the lottery for a camping permit in The Enchantments, which is located in the Cascade Mountains in Washington state. 

The likelihood of winning a permit is ~1% and I’ve never won in my 6 years of applying. I’m hoping this is the year I get lucky! If not, I’ll have to “settle” for hiking yet again.

Yeah, it's incredible. The water is literally snow melt and painfully cold (I can personally attest to this), but it really lives up to its name. If I don't win a camping slot, I will definitely still do some day hikes!

What an incredible view and clean water... For some reason it reminds me a lake in Argentina and I don't know which one haha.

Well, not yet! I’ve got to win the lottery to get a chance to camp. But hiking there is a nice consolation.
