I just entered the lottery for a camping permit in The Enchantments, which is located in the Cascade Mountains in Washington state. The likelihood of winning a permit is ~1% and I’ve never won in my 6 years of applying. I’m hoping this is the year I get lucky! If not, I’ll have to “settle” for hiking yet again.

What an incredible view and clean water... For some reason it reminds me a lake in Argentina and I don't know which one haha. Hope you win the lottery this year 🤞

Yeah, it's incredible. The water is literally snow melt and painfully cold (I can personally attest to this), but it really lives up to its name. If I don't win a camping slot, I will definitely still do some day hikes!
