According Dr Thomas Brown we should think about inattentive ADHD as being like erectile dysfunction yelling at yourself for not being aroused by a task doesn't help you perform no amount of "well I really want to be into this and in theory I should be" will create the conditions needed to get the thing to work

drawing from the erectile dysfunction analogy, three strategies then come to mind 1) find ways to make the task more arousing, or arousing in a different way 2) identify any anxieties that may be present that are interfering with finding the arousing thing arousing and explore ways to turn them down

Stop watching porn, I mean stop looking at how well other people perform in their work, on similar tasks. They may just be trained professionals and what you see is only selected moments where they perform well ... and all the failures they also inevitably experience are hidden. This will help you get more confident and appreciate your way of doing things. Not everyone has to be sponsored by RedBull.
