Even more interesting (IMO) that people feel comfortable insulting or lying to *another human* publicly

too many people are cruel, especially when they think there will be fewer consequences.

bots aren't people and hackers even in the traditional tinkerer sense will try to hack them.

in 2017 I created a PoC for an IT support chatbot for the company I worked at (very simple rules-based thing). It was released to a very small population. I could see all of the conversations. Almost everyone started insulting it and my first update to it had to be a profanity filter and a rule that said "I ll have to report this to HR". Interesting to see that behaviour hasn't changed.
