genuine question: why do some crypto founders choose to make it into a big PR dunk when they decide to switch chains? most criticism re: chains is legit, but the convo often devolves into tribalism (not so productive) and i end up learning nada about the founder's actual product lol

i think it's good marketing for the chain they're moving to, and if they're moving they are 1. getting a grant / support from the new chain and/or 2. mad at old chain

so are you suggesting that the answer to "why" is either 1. out of obligation or gratitude for receiving support from the new chain (in which case, there's no need to dunk on the old chain; even if good for chain, unclear if good for product), or 2. out of anger for the old chain (in which case, seems immature)?

yea agree with this products themselves are extremely week in this industry. incentives are skewed towards launching coins or getting grants, so if you had a "silver bullet" marketing stunt to get views it makes more financial sense to use it on whatever gets you the grant or will pump your bags spending it on actually marketing your product only for it to do nothing seems fiscally irresponsible sad but i think it's the truth
