I hate that the NYC left is so ineffective that we are celebrating congestion pricing that will be a wealth transfer from the middle class into a bottomless hole of government funding shortage.

Agreed that the left is ineffective and congestion pricing shouldn’t be a big celebration (took 17 years since Bloomberg proposed it!) But even if the money didn’t go to the MTA I think it’s a necessary disincentive for congestion in a crazy dense area

There are other options. We could build better public transit with better capital allocation instead of penalizing people who decide not to use our failing subways and dangerous bikes

Totally agree we should be funding the subway (and make those dollars go further)! And make biking safer + buses faster with dedicated lanes But NYC is great because of its density, and ultimately cars are the most inefficient way to move people through that space.
