It’s been a tough month in the trenches and in life in general. My dad is dying and my mom is struggling to take care of him, the bills, the house, and herself. I have stepped up to try and help where I can both financially and in person. But man, I feel an enormous amount of pressure not to fuck it up. This is the closest chance I’ve ever had to a paradigm shift in my finances and quality of life. Sometimes it’s paralyzing knowing that everyone is counting on you. Especially when your days can be spent second guessing everything. I’ve come to the realization that I’m not a good trader. I was lucky and had “inside information to get in early on some big trades. So, anyway this is a long rant/vent about where my heads at rn with regard to markets. Anyone else in the same boat? Sole breadwinner and trying to figure out how manage this choppy market and come out alright?

Can't believe this at the top of my feed given the day I am having. My mum is dying and probably probably won't make it through the night. It's tough but part of all of our journeys and focuses us on what's actually important. Thanks for sharing and to everyone else who have shared their stories. Certainly helping me tonight. Strength and love gets you though.

Sorry to hear about your dad. Reporting in here as sole breadwinner and heaps of life's stinkiest 💩. Got mega lucky a few weeks back, but trust me... life has a way of throwing new impossible challenges at you where money makes f'all difference. All you can do is tackle it one day at time, try to slow down and think. I'm big on risk management and trying to exploit my unique strengths. From my perspective: you're a natural talker, good at connecting with people, have a natural instinct around this space, etc. IMO that's what you should leverage.

I am as well bro. My dad passed away and my mom remarried and now is a widow. She moved out of state with my sister. Mothernlaw is dieing with a rare form of dementia. Wife has been home raising my daughter for the past 18 years and I took on a new job with a new company in Florida. Currently working two jobs in engineering to keep up. The financial pressure is overwhelming. I work 80+ hours a week and zero retirement. Crypto is a lottery for me. Silly for me to think I’ll ever retire on it but it’s not impossible. It’s a form of escape since I have zero free time

Sorry to hear about your dad. Just this week picked up my mom from heart surgery and can’t imagine what would happen if anything would go wrong. Re market - pretty much nobody is a good trader with their own money. And it’s impossible to have the right psychology for trading if things are not ok around you - it’s better to do nothing than bad trades under pressure 🙏 Stay well Mary 🙌
