Time to share a personal story to go with the theme of this weeks /success rounds. Today has been 7 years to the day since the last time I used heroin. This is my mugshot from soon after the last time. I thought my life was fucking over at this point. Multiple felony charges and not a leg to stand on. Somehow today, I am free and clear with my record relatively in tact. I’m married to a girl I have been in love with since high school, and I’m working at a company that I love. Plus, I’m developing my independent skill set in a way that might lead to even more opportunities down the road. Moral of the story is, it’s never too late to turn your life around.

holy shit man. one of the most important books that ive read on my life is called shantaram. it is about a guy that goes to live to mumbai (india) and on one part he speaks about heroin. especially how he felt after trying to detox from it how was that process for you? how much of a nightmare did you go through? peeling layers over layers of the onion man. what a legend
