Today, almost all DAOs are dystopically centralized - with a few whales effectively controlling them, decentralization theater aside. This is fine for a business, but unacceptable for communities. At the moment decentralized attestations are at best poorly thought out and easily gameable, but I have no doubt that this is the solution that has the best potential to scale for DAO communities

You mean the attestations? I guess you can make it anonymous with ZK proofs (for example, only revealing that the person attesting has at least X attestation points, or something like that). But I'm not sure how you can make it private (not just anonymous) and credibly decentralized at the same time.
