https://synthetictraffic.com/ tools like this make me wonder how quickly we'll get synthetic user testers. I actually don't see a problem with it if you're trying to test load, performance, and system-wide stability. But my question is this: "Will a synthetic user behave how an actual user will behave?"

Yeah I think this is fine for spotting bugs but nobody should be relying on this for “insights”

100% -- spotting bugs, testing load, seeing how disparate parts interact with each other. But, when AGI does come around, couldn't it be really good at "pretending" to be many types of people? And getting insights that way? Fun thought-experiment.
