Every signer costs $0.99 if you choose to connect with WC. It now makes more sense for apps to share signers. Does Neynar support that already? cc @rish

We’ve considered sharing signers but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. We offer fully managed signers but they’re individual right now. You’d use shared signers for Aburra @billzh ? cc @manan

or maybe you can batch mint a few signers when the user pays gas for the first time and then assign the extras later? would only work across apps using Neynar infra, but could be a UX improvement if handled smoothly on the backend

hmm.. @greg thinking about how that might work in the current setup we need both the user fid (through the mnemoic / custody address) and the application's fid + signature at the time of approving a signer. if we needed to issue signers for a user in advance, we'd need access to the application's seed.

We could ask them to transfer over their farcaster account to a custody address that we manage, but that's putting way too much trust into Neynar. We're happy to honor it but I'm not sure if application dev's would be willing to go down the path.

unless they are all just Neynar signers instead of app-specific signers but that probably introduces some weird UX stuff where a user doesn't know what their signers are for which is bad could encourage devs to create a serparate account just for co-managing signers, but agree that's a bit awkward too. not sure
