How do you manage back-to-back runs? If I try to do that my body breaks down.

Like Alex said the main thing is proper fuelling during and after; during run make sure your eating simple sugars about every 15-20ish minutes from the start and water when needed and after making sure to have a nice mix of carbs and proteins to replenish glycogen stores and give the building blocks needed to adapt

When I do my long runs (10-15 mi) I usually use one syrup packet, one gel, and one pack of blocks. I gotta ramp that up a bit.

A good way of thinking about fuelling (takes a little practice tho) is thinking “how are my legs going to feel in 15-20 minutes?”. It takes about 15-20 min to get sugars from ingestion to muscle so if your able to predict and fuel for that need you’ll feel way better throughout and after your run
