Something to know: when talking about individuals with Down syndrome you should always use people first language! Example- you should say "a child with Down syndrome" NOT "a Down syndrome child" We should not define anyone by their disability or diagnosis even though it is a huge part of what makes them who they areπ I've posted a Preferred Language Guide if you want more information! World Down Syndrome Day is this Friday 3.21! Wear your silliest socks or blue and yellow to show your support β¨
