Merry Christmas, Farcaster - and a Happy New Year! Especially to each and every single /openventures subscriber (now: permamembers for life) Back to the office tomorrow after two days off with family. have been reflecting a lot on where I was a year ago, everything I learned, gained & grappled with from Jan-to-Dec 2024. Every single .005 eth month minted was a gift, a responsibility. Trust makes for the best kind of obligation. Trust & resources over time were unexpected luxuries this year. I’m more grateful for that opportunity than I can say

Today, Merc Capital is winding down—time for an appreciation post! Earlier this year, I was on parental leave and spent the spotty downtimes that weaved through the day on Warpcast. Deep in the Farcaster trenches, I met @proxystudio.eth through the /openventures channel and became ingrained in the Proxy & Merc ecosystem. I am still amazed by the drive and virtue he brings to the table every day. Merc started as a fun experiment, turned into prime exposure to the Farcaster/Base ecosystem, and, via the hard and relentless work of Proxy, became quite profitable while doing so. I am super stoked that I was able to be a part of that journey so far (and further along via Proxy and Clanker). ❤️

Okay here goes: /how-its-earned has been on my roadmap for some time, but financial pressure meant I wasn't able to focus on it until now (thanks @moxie.eth retro grant 🫡). The idea is to write interactive, data-driven articles about how money is made online - with a particular focus on what's hot in Farcaster land. Think of it as combining the the data-driven parts of the Ultimate Moxie Dune dashboard with the thoroughness of my Ultimate Degen Tips FAQ. The channel will be there to organize a community-led approach to identifying interesting trends and potential future topics. Next week I will start work on the first article - digging into @proxystudio.eth 's amazing success with @clanker 😎

on @base this week, Proxy Studio collected 16.75 ETH from 24 people + our trading fund (85 people) we contributed that ETH to one private token sale and one token presale our @hypersub funded studio admin team created two excellent spreadsheets that make it easy for me to claim & distribute tokens win, together
