Hamas has built an underground city under north Gaza and hides there (with the core below hospitals and schools).

Israelis understand now that Israel will never be safe with Hamas living alongside it.

I think that displacement has a lot of ethical downsides for the region. understandably, idk what blockers there are for detection in the tunnels, but this "X at all costs" concerns me, from my POV it doesn't address backlash & there's no indication that this stops remaining cyclical.
