i made a kinda dumb cast month or so ago that i didn’t respect anon accounts that have nothing to lose so they attack people. i should’ve been more nuanced. i think pseudonymous accounts like roon, daniel, formerly beff jezos are essential to growing a social platform — and farcaster needs them. are any here?

@0xen is definitely anon and brings an important POV to Farcaster, but — and i say this with zero shade — i wouldn't necessarily consider him a counter-cultural thought leader or brand the same way the anon accounts of aella, roon, beff jezos, etc. which function more as brands than as individuals.

Agree — I would say that aella and roon are v different, more personable, to Beff, who in turn I see as the epitome of the brand version of your criteria. Balaji has become similar to Beff But I think FC doesn’t lend itself to that ‘brand personality’; FC is more about conversation than thought leadeeship

I also think the Beff’s of the world aren’t important for growing FC. I think Beff brand didn’t bring a new audience, but was created for a certain Twtr audience I think FC needs more personable brands that have more conversation, like aella surveys or roon @cameron does this and would behave no diff as an anon

I think that diff between conversational thought leaders and speakerphone thought leaders is important One attracts audiences, the other monetises them (for fame or money) Wdyt of dril in this context And do u always like your own casts ☺️

oops no, that was an accident. go through my liked casts for evidence. how do you differentiate between conversational vs. speakerphone? i don't think beff, roon, aella, daniel, beff, dumb bitch capital, etc started with the goal of monetizing audiences — and are they? feels like a disingenuous assumption.
