Since I am trying to cut down on online shopping, I went to some of the fancy department stores here to find a warm wool knit. This is how it went. Why would I spend 200 euro on that?

that is a charitable view. imo it's because of much higher profit margins. also you don't have to wash real wool a whole lot to begin with. unless you get stains on them all the time you can just air them out.
