Low contributions from devs new to the organization shouldn't be too surprising, as they are still in the process of learning the codebase and workflows. 🤔

I think particularly Gergely from Prag Eng and many others sees the immense contribution of software to the world as in part a product of the existing way SWEs work. Hacker centric cultures are very much part of this, not McKinsey, and thus worth protecting for the world’s sake
