i used to think that the pathway to a successful product was to grow on social media, build a following and then ship the thing and make them happy its not true. if your product is not good and doesn't solve a need of them, they won't use it. and it is not personal it is unconscious

Organic is always better than artificial- Sell something good and you won't need marketing for your first steps. Sell something bad and you won't get anything, even with marketing. There are exceptions, of course, but it's a good general rule of thumb.

None of this matters if you aren’t fixing an actual problem. Question one is how does a product actually fix a problem or make someone’s life better / easier. If you can’t answer that it’s not gonna make it. You are never selling a product, you are selling a better version of life for the person who’s buying it.

amazing rule of thumb. did you learn it through experience? what is the most "not wanted thing" you have tried to sell?
