Do women apologize too much? A mentor of mine once suggested subtle ways to stop apologizing. Instead of "Sorry I'm late", she told me to use ïž"Thank you for your patience". I try not to overthink it and there's probably a balance to strike. https://warpcast.com/nonlinear.eth/0xfe3e7060

I had a mentor of mine tell me that too so I've been more mindful of it. However if I'm late, I feel the need to say sorry since saying thank you for your patience doesn't seem to acknowledge how I feel about it ð€·ð»ââïž

Same. I like being conscious of it but to think we can never apologize is absurd! ð

There's something so interesting in here. The energy of an apology can be so powerful in opening up a conversational space. It feels like there is a sharp difference between the respectful courtesy of a "sorry" & the collapse of a submissive "sorry" An "apology-economics" of sorts "Sorry supply" demand curve.
