One of the biggest differences for me going from VC to company founder is getting comfortable with not keeping up with most things happening in crypto anymore since your world ends up being more specialized. Surprisingly harder to adjust than I anticipated since crypto news is actually really interesting

Feel this Lots of people seem to think that investing makes you a better founder, or that founding makes you a better investor The skill sets are totally different Only by founding do you learn to found, and only by investing do you learn to invest

Exactly why I'm "new" to web3. Had to skip it almost entirely because 1) it's interesting, and 2) it was unrelated to my startup.

Makes sense. I feel most people have to vet whats worthy of their focus when they're devoted to something, and there's only so much bandwidth we all have. Are there resources/ newsletters you subscribe to that give you a good overview of the crypto space, or do you feel the need to tune it out almost entirely?

It's a little contradictory, but one thing I've found helps a lot is volunteering. I'm in a committee meeting once a week for an education-focused non-profit, with people in various roles around the industry. I get to hear what's currently important to them, their coworkers, and their users. It's way more effective than hours of doom scrolling.
