What have you tried? Agreed the angel groups tend to suck, but there are a few okay ones. For example in Waterloo, Garage Capital and friends are good. COVID really hurt the ecosystem though, sadly.

Rebuild an angel system from scratch, writing off the 50+ year olds in the current system. 

I have tried to improve the current system and it’s a lost cause. 

Angel groups are non-profits in Canada and government supported. 

When they should be funds with a profit motive!

if you care about its growth, have the means, and want to participate in it more - it’s almost an imperative 

my approach, fwiw:
1. invest in a lot of founders 
2. don’t care about returns 
3. celebrate _every_ outcome
