A lot of interest in my previous post on Connection-Focused parenting — here’s one of my recent favorites from Attachment Nerd/ Dr. Eli Harwood 🩷🫶🏼 This is how your kids would share openly with you / have you be the first one they call / and choose to have you in their lives as adults Wdyt?

Love that she addressed that you cannot be permissive either! Our oldest is still little and only sometimes understands discipline- toddlerhood js wild. Hopefully this is something we can implement as he gets older!

She is amazing! Thanks for sharing. I can imagine a whole generation of future adults with inner voices that say, “you got this” when they’re in distress. Instead of, “you’re the worst and everyone knows it”.

As long as your kids have consequences for bad choices, and also know that you love them, they will turn out better than most. A lot of families go into one outlier extreme or the other on this, and it shows when the children reach adulthood, by how they act, how self-centered they are. It’s everywhere right now.
