Building is such a lonely process.

When you’re building, you’re alone. When you’re not building, you’re alone.

Wildly I have more experiencing building physical structures and though of that more than my current build.

If you’re into what you’re building, building a building is also lonely. Few people see what’s in your head, by the time the architects puts it blue prints for you, your mind has moved on.

Ironically unless you’re building a building.

This is a v important point. Loneliness is a sibling of leadership. This is normal and hard, often simultaneously. Hang in there, and prioritize building your village and self-care like you’re building your org.

I feel you — I’ve found though, that the more you talk to your “customers” and compatriots the more you find others share the same thoughts and excitement for what you’re up to, and the lonely aspects of building start to become a little less lonely!

That is why it is extremely important for co-founders to be compatible in order to get through loneliness and ups/down together 🤟

Momentum makes all the difference though.

As a founder, one could be still lonely. Momentum with a growing user base and company is worth the tradeoff?

At least when you’re building you have users who understand in mind

Nothing worse than trying to explain

It’s sort of cause you have tunnel vision on your build and any non aligned information gets filtered out when you’re really into your build. Having a vision aligned team helps alleviate some of this
