Many reasons. They are different tools.

- rotki is not just EVM. tracks CEXes, other chains such as substrate and bitcoin. Also can track anythign you want via manual balances. Banks, stocks, what have you. It's a universal management tool.
- is opensource
- is local
- you own your data. Nobody tracks you

why use rotki over something like debank to check portfolio?

Because apps are meant to be local. Not hosted on someone else's cloud where they can track all your personal data. And especially so apps about tracking and doing accounting on someone's portfolio. The entire point of rotki is being local.

Ok that's cool but I'm not downloading and executing an app on my computer. Why not a web app?
