I think Nouns’ media production investments/grants surpassed the threshold where now it’s time to normalize independent audits for media channels in a similar capacity critical code is audited.

We audit code but never audit the impact of code eg was it worth the funding. We have more tech debt than media debt. At least with media, even if we don’t see immediate impact there’s content that still lives & can be repurposed. With tech that’s no longer being used, most is just waste.

auditing code and auditing software are two separate audits. tbf most of the content that’s being produced with large budget can’t be repurposed.

Yes and no - my argument for the media recyclability is that the media that’s getting the most eyeballs, mostly isn’t released with the required licensing.

Even if it’s copyrighted it can be reshared. A lot of the tech is just discarded & forgotten.
